5th USLS in Phnom Penh, Cambodia!
I participated to the 5th University Scholar Leadership Symposium, which is an event hosted by Humanitarian Affairs United Kingdom specially designed to provide the next generation leaders an understanding of key sustainable development challenges, and to motivate them to realise their potential as agents of change through motivational talks by renowned international trainers and inspiring lectures by experienced humanitarian leaders. Those conferences took place in Phnom Penh where I visited some schools and NGOs with a set of a thousand students from all around the world. I really enjoyed this experience, especially for its amazing networking possibilities.
A half french half polish guy giving english lessons to taiwanese kids
I spent two months in the beautiful countryside of Taiwan as a volunteer teaching english courses in several schools to students from 8 to 15 years old. My main task was to create a positive learning environment and trigger their incentive to keep on speaking english once I leave. Actually, this experience was also an opportunity to learn from others. I was really stunned by the generosity, passion and interest of people towards me and wish to meet my “asian” family again soon in the future! I had also the pleasure to cross roads with Arnaud who was learning Mandarin in Taipei and with him we discovered several aspects of everyday life in Taiwan.
