3 months charity project
India (Delhi, Gujarat, Kerala)
Middle March - Middle June 2015
From Nepal, Alexandre and Marc-Edouard kept going on the curry roads : Welcome to India! They went there for a charity project with Amrita University, sponsored by Embracing The World NGO. This NGO is founded by the hug spiritual figure: Amma. Following her and staying at Ashram dedicated to her, we have been immersed in the spirituality, the quietness and the wisdom of indian religion. We started our trip in India by a train route from Delhi to the south of India, in Kerala State. The dirty and crowded roads of New Delhi, the magnificence of Taj Mahal, the society of Bangalore, the beach of Goa and the backwaters of Kerala have been awesome to travel to and to discover. The charity project was a women empowering project, focused on the toilet and sanitation issues in India. We went to a village in deep country side of Gujarat, and tried to raise awareness to approx. 30 women about sanitation and the importance of using toilets. We also taught them how to build toilet. This three month trip has been for us the opportunity to discover India in so many different ways!
